Week one: Kids closet's and toys

So I go through the kids drawers fortnightly and remove any clothes they may have grown out of. Mostly DH changes all their nappies when they are home. He bathes them and changes them (I'm really not lazy, its cos I had a c-section 6 weeks ago).

So their drawers were fine. I thought their closet was too....no way!! Terrible! For someone like me who actually likes cleaning and keeping things very tidy this just would not do!

So after a week of trying to organize things with kids under foot, stopping to breastfeed every 3 hours. Not being able to work between the hours of 7pm and 8am AND their nap time during the day (12-3pm) it was hard work!

Basically the clothes in their closet now are clothes they need to grow into. Up the top of their closet are their (empty) suitcases for when they go to Grampa and Nanna's house. Their toys have always been "pretty" tidy but was just getting too much and they would just mess everything up and not really play with anything so now with some toys in the closet I can control their mess a bit more and they think it is really exciting playing in the cupboard. So cute!

Going's on'seses

So much for blogging regularily! Oh well!

So what has been happening these past few weeks?

Grace is sleeping through the night! Last feed at 9pm then wakes at 6 or 6:30am for the next! I am thrilled! Ethan slept through at 7 weeks, Ashley was a bit more stubborn and slept through at 9 weeks and little Grace did it at 5 weeks!

From the first night home from hospital Grace was only waking once for a feed which I found to be miraculous! The other 2 basically fed every three hours round the clock and by the 2 week mark woke one or twice in the night.

Overall NO complaints!

Lately Ethan has been so enthusiastic about getting his picture taken he says "swile!, smmmwile!" He is still utterly in love with Grace and it is good to see he still holds his smile even if his sister has just fallen over and is feeling sorry for herself! lol!


Look at this little girl!! Utterly EXQUISITE! She is such a sweetie and generally is very happy and contented. Mum always says "no show without punch". This is true as anything Ethan does she will attempt. Thankfully Ethan isn't bothered with this...at the moment!



Lastly precious little Grace. Last night DH nearly got her laughing (28/02/08). She is only 6 weeks and 6 days old! First picture is of a half smile, second one is of her on her new mat from Nana (DH's dad's mum). Lastly this is her "talking" when we recently got her hands and feet molds done. I just LOVE the little "Oooo" sounds she is making. Don't even get me started on how beautiful she is when she goes to sneeze but just makes that "Ooooey" sound instead!

On another note...
Ashley now has 9.1 teeth! She has cut 3 molars in the past week. I only noticed one day when she laughed! Does that make me such an unobservant mother?! :)

The world I watched for so long

So here is my FIRST EVER blog. Why have I been afraid of something for so long and now that I finally looked into it, it is actually quite easy!! I thought I was surrounded by people who had a million more brain cells then me!

Anyhow, I am not really sure what I intend to do with this but we will see how we go. Hopefully I attend to this new little venture and eventually learn how to post pictures and other "cool" little things.

My husband was shocked the other day with how many of other people's blogs I read. I am now a bit scared about who might read mine and if it is any "good". Oh well I am not doing it for other people but at the same time don't want to look silly.

Now on to investigating the "picture" side of my blog. Woohoo worked it out!
